Five Circles
of Church

Five Circles of Church interconnected. Circles are labeled "personal devotion," "life-on-life discipleship," "Lifegroups," "Church gathered," and "Church Sent."

The 5 Circles of Church clarify how every person can dynamically participate in relationship with Jesus across the breadth of our church. At Antioch, we want our relationship with Jesus to affect and infect every area of our lives, which is why we seek to embrace each of these circles continually.

We want to have a deep devotional life in Jesus, seek to be and to make disciples, stay connected in community, serve and participate in our corporate gatherings and live on mission where God has planted each of us. As opposed to focusing only on one circle, we hope to grow in our holistic approach to walking with Jesus by committing to embrace all 5 Circles. Why? Because we want more of Jesus and we want Jesus to be glorified by, in, and through us and His Church.

Personal Devotion speaks to our aim to see every person cultivate a thriving and intimate relationship with Jesus that is filled with love, knowledge, and desire to obey Him. We don’t just come to church on Sundays to worship, we order our entire lives around our love for Him by daily meeting with Jesus in worship, His word, and prayer.

We believe that when we walk closely with people who are committed to following Jesus, we set ourselves up for the support and encouragement we need to thrive. Life-on-Life Discipleship is where we intentionally invest in relationship with others to help one another become lifelong, obedient, and reproducing followers of Jesus. If you are interested in being discipled, we encourage you to join a Lifegroup as most discipleship relationships happen in the context of Lifegroups.

LifeGroups

LifeGroups are how we do small-group community. In these groups, we seek to experience and emulate the New Testament community defined in Acts 2:42-47. We gather in living rooms across our city with a desire to create small communities that are committed to encountering God, discipling others, and living on mission together.

Gathering together to grow in our passion for Jesus and His purposes in the earth is central to who we are as the family of God. Church Gathered describes how we gather corporately on Sundays, and during the week in various ministries, to grow in our faith, fellowship community, and celebrate all that God is doing.

God has purposefully placed each one of us in our schools, jobs, families, and neighborhoods to make an impact in the lives of those around us. Church Sent is where we resolve to generously give our lives away to serve others and boldy share the good news of Jesus everywhere we go.
